Testimonials
I just wanted to thank you for everything you've done. I know it's your job, but on top of that you were just great. It's so nice to feel well looked-after, to have an attentive, cheerful person on the lookout for you. Working with Dorothy Danahy has been a very positive experience for me.
From the first time I met them, I had an excellent contact with the consultants at Dorothy Danahy. As a young assistant with an unusual profile, they listened and spent time with me in order to understand not only my background, but also my expectations and my personality.
I was immediately convinced by their approach, more centred on the candidate that on the job description. They were able to see beyond my CV and propose positions that truly met my expectations.
I'd like to thank all of the people with whom I was in contact at Dorothy Danahy for their availability, for having taken the time to reassure and encourage me if my application wasn't accepted, but also for their precious advice which helped me to optimise my CV and prepare for interviews.
Today, I regularly recommend Dorothy Danahy to people I know, and I make sure always to mention the quality service I received.
My sincere thanks to Dorothy Danahy who helped me to quickly find a position that met my requirements. I worked with the agency on two occasions, firstly in 2008 (for a fixed term contract), then in 2010 for a permanent contact, my current position.
The consultants are always professional and reachable and I really appreciated their support during the different recruitment stages. If I had to change jobs, I wouldn't think twice about getting back in touch with Dorothy Danahy, as I know I can always count on their valuable help!
As a recent graduate, I was looking for a bilingual assistant position with a company where I could grow over several years. The direct approach and pertinent offers and solutions offered by Dorothy Danahy contributed to the realisation of this objective. I now work as an assistant and really love what I do.
I tell all of my friends looking for the same sort of position to give the Dorothy Danahy consultants a call - a quality service is guaranteed. So don't hesitate to leave your application in their hands...
When I met Dorothy for the first time it was in 1996. I was only a "baby" then as she likes to say...
Fifteen years have passed and when I look back over my career, I realise how precious her help, guidance and support have been to me.
My career couldn't have been what it is without you.
Many thanks.
I have known the Dorothy Danahy agency for many years. There is complete transparence between the recruitment team and their candidates.
Attentiveness and respect for the candidate and their profile are very important points for this company, which is why they never contact you with a position that isn't an exact match to what both you and their client are looking for. This team has always treated me with the highest level of professionalism!
As soon as I entered the Dorothy Danahy offices, I knew I was in safe hands and that a suitable job would be found quickly for me. After completing language and computing tests, I then met with Dorothy, who perused my CV and we discussed my options. She put me forward for positions straight away and it seemed to me that the office had many clients and therefore a large network. This reassured me as I previously had been with another recruitment agency who didn't have many propositions for me.
After I left the office, it wasn't long before I got calls from the various recruitment consultants in the agency. They understood what I was looking for and I soon went on interviews. Two short weeks went by between my initial consultation with Dorothy and the signature of my employment contract - I think that speaks for itself!!
I never actually chose to be an assistant. It was just the way things turned out for me and the natural conclusion to the line of education I chose to follow. I now realise, however, that it really was the perfect job for me because it meant that I got to do what I really enjoy in life; helping people. To be an assistant it is so important to feel a sense of service in your job and to have a very optimistic approach to life. You are constantly under pressure to perform and therefore organisation, flexibility and of course enthusiasm are all essential for the role.
I first met the team at Dorothy Danahy SAS in August 2004 and was rapidly placed in a globally renowned financial group in September 2004 and have been working there for 6 months. I couldn’t believe how quickly things moved for me and it was really thanks to their help and efficiency that I am where I am today!
If I could give one piece of advice to those looking for an Assistant position on the market today, it would have to be to improve your English. The job market is already hard enough as it is, so having English is an invaluable asset in order to get ahead of the game. It is also essential to remember that there will always be obstacles to overcome when it comes to finding and then keeping a job, however they should be viewed as challenges and not dilemmas because there really are no problems, only solutions.
It was time for me to give new meaning to my professional life. After several years spent assisting the management team of an SME, I wanted to join a company with international scope. For this, I needed real expertise and astute assistance from a reliable team with a solid network and a true understanding of my requirements. And those of their clients! Dorothy Danahy helped me to accurately identify my ambitions and steered me towards companies that suited my know-how perfectly. Today I work for the Marketing and World Distribution Manager of an insurance and banking group. I'm thrilled.
Being accompanied in your job search is a very delicate task which necessitates good communication, comprehension of candidate priorities and an accurate evaluation of their skills and of course, their expectations!
I observed all of these qualities in each member of the Dorothy Danahy team and for me, this was essential in establishing mutual trust. Thanks to Dorothy Danahy I found the support, advice and encouragement that I needed to take on new professional challenges.
